The next day of Oneros was filled with joy and fun activities, so was Sophia's next event: "Talkathon"
Talkathon is the event was a name for extempore speech competition. Extempore speech is reffed to as an improv speech for which the topics were given 2 mins before the speech. The participants were excited with the topics like Liberal Education, Reservation, Right to Speech and more.
The idea of the event was inspired from the fact that whatever our mind reflects within the first few minutes of an information, forms the basis of the opinions that we have (changeable).
The criteria for judgement was:
1} confidence and fluency of the participant
2}presence of mind of participant
3}relevance to the topic
4}keep in mind the time limit given to you.
The judges for the event were Dr. Sonali Singh, Assistant Prof of Political Science, Department of Arts, MUJ and Dr. Gopalkrishnan Thirumoorthy, MUJ.
The winner of the competition was Akash Yadav, 2nd Year B. Tech, MUJ.
His presentation skills were on the point and managed to impress the judges.
We congratulate the winner.
