Report on "Sophia Quiz" conducted during Oneiros '16

On 22 October 2016, Sophia club organized a quiz competition as one of
their events for the cultural fest Oneiros of Manipal University Jaipur.
The quiz master was president of the club, Mr. Akash Dayal. The
competition required a group of three members to participate as a team.
In total, eleven teams participated in the first round in which they
were required to crack a set of fifteen questions displayed on a common
screen within limited time. The questions were selected from
a varied range of topics such as current affairs, entertainment, Indian
culture, tradition and science, famous books and authors. Among the
eleven, five teams qualified for the second round which increased the
level of difficulty of questions as well as which required them to
connect clues to reach the question before they could reach the answer.
In this round, questions were targeted towards the philosophical aspects
of topics mentioned above.

With tough competition on the rocks, the
quiz ended with immense euphoria as the winners were declared. The
winners - Mr. Abhinav Umang, Mr. Amit Kumar and Mr. Anup Singh Tomar,
were awarded a cash prize of 2000 rupees. The runner up team included
Mr. Syed Mujahed, Mr. Achintya Mohan and Mr.Prarbdh Ranjan. At the end
Prof. Dr. Ajay Kumar was presented with a token of honour by Prof. Dr.
Anthony S. Raj for his contribution in the field of academics and
teaching.
